Sales of Used Machinery
The sale of used machinery is the core of our business at SMT Sweden. We supply machinery both within Sweden and to customers worldwide, with the exception of North America and countries subject to trade restrictions. Due to our corporate insurance policy, we do not conduct business in the USA or Canada.
Regardless of whether a transaction is local or international, our goal remains the same: to create secure business transactions and long-term customer relationships. We want our customers to have full confidence in SMT as their supplier.

Outside of Sweden, we place great importance on building long-term, trust-based relationships with local dealers. Through these close collaborations, we reach more customers globally while continuing to deliver used machinery directly to end-users worldwide.
With extensive experience in international machinery trade and a well-developed network of contacts, we handle everything from transport and export documentation to any other requirements for seamless global delivery.

Machinery Dealers – Not just brokers
We take pride in calling ourselves machinery dealers. Unlike brokers, we take active responsibility for every machine we sell. We personally inspect the equipment, assess its condition and market value, and ensure that the information presented in our inspection reports is accurate. While brokers often simply pass on the seller’s information and add a commission, SMT operates differently. We take the machinery into our own inventory, own it during the sales process, and take full responsibility throughout the entire transaction.
For machinery where we possess specialist expertise such as compressors, generators, and drill rigs we always conduct a thorough internal technical review. For other types of equipment, we consult experts as needed to provide our customers with the most accurate and transparent information possible.
Security for the seller
In almost all transactions, SMT purchases the machinery for our own stock before reselling it. For the seller, this means a simple and secure process: one invoice to SMT, paid according to agreement. Since we own the machinery at the time of sale, all subsequent transactions are conducted in our name, which facilitates the handling of financing, export documents, and other administrative tasks.
